Documentary Film Workshop

DZMP (Slovenia) organise 10-days international workshop where 40 young film makers participate.

In the first part of 10 days multilateral youth exchange we will have discussions and workshops on the topics of Intercultural Dialogue, cultural diversity, active participation of young people, European citizenship and inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities. This will go alongside the extensive preparations to help us develop ideas for short documentaries on the same topics. 

Later during the project we will split in smaller international groups who will in cooperation with local people shoot the documentaries. Through the process of making documentaries on certain topics the participants will also have a great opportunity to improve their knowledge on and reflect these topics.

The final products will be screened on a public event on the last evening of the exchange when we will invite different people to participate. Later the films will be distributed on DVD, web page and different public screenings in Youth centres and festivals around Europe. 

Mentor will be Zelimir Zilnik, director from Serbia (www.zelimirzilnik.net).
