"dzmp" (Society of Allies for Soft Landing) was established in 1995 by a group of young people, who were tired of apathy in cultural happening for youngsters and general insensibility for helping people in need. We are active in working on projects of youth culture, modern arts, nonformal education, ecology, social and humanitarian activities. Doing this we try to surmount the gap between the youngsters and culture and tried to soothe their troubles and support different marginal groups. In our club we have arranged the exercising room for bands, photo dark room, internet info point available to the public, gallery, small cinema and DTP & video studio.
We organized many concerts by different music groups. They vary from young bands, which exercise in the garages and haven’t won recognition yet to successfully asserted musicians from Europe, America and Russia. Since 1995 we have organized more than 150 concerts, theatre shows, exhibitions and performances.
In the beginning of 1997 we have started video production and we are the pioneers of democratisation of the film as a media and artistic means in Slovenia. Krško has become an important “video classroom” for the young video creators and a production centre for new generations of directors and reporters.
In the town itself we have triggered and lead the institutional solving of the problems of the young, the issue of their spare time, organization and promotion of their creativity. At the same time we are supportive and advisory organization, which cooperates with dozens of cognate especially youth cultural organizations in Slovenija and abroad.
